AS A MOM I WANTED MORE OUT OF CHRISTMAS

When my three boys were young, I struggled with the balance of making Christmas magical and teaching my boys about the true reason for celebrating Christmas. A quick reading of Luke chapter 2 and reenactment on Christmas Eve fell flat as it competed with the impending arrival of Santa.

I wanted more. I wanted my boys to not just know about Jesus' humble birth but to know about His life, His mission and His sacrifice. I wanted them to know Him and the role He plays in their lives today. I wanted the spirit of Christ in our home all season long.

After a moment of inspiration, and several years of trial and error, we had a strong family tradition going. Friends and family started asking for help to start their own version of this Christmas advent--and that fueled a passion to assemble more and more sets to share with others every year.

GETTING THE TRADITION STARTED

Starting December 1st, introduce your family to The 25 Days of Christ by placing the ornament for Day 1 in the drawstring bag. One of the family opens the bag to reveal the ornament of the day.
